Northern Gannets

August, 2002 ~ A colony of 150,000 northern gannets (Morus bassanus) live on the Bass Rock, an island in the Firth of Forth not far from Edinburgh, Scotland. This photo was taken from a small boat, as we toured around the island. Genuinely magnificent.
